One of the most important parts about trading is knowing what positions you have open and keeping track of the market. If you are Day Trading you do not roll anything overnight into another session, and everything is closed at the end of your trading day. The next one is Trend Following.

Trend Following is almost the opposite to what Day Trading is because Trend Following means you will follow the trend and stay within that market until you want to close it out. You either buy into it and follow it higher, or sell into it and follow it lower. Now of course using Technical Analysis is the study of charts, and the process through-out charts.

There are a number of basic forms of TA Technical Analysis that we can look at. Things call options defintions as Support and Resistance, which are basically levels that have been important in the past, which could become important again in the future. Technical Analysis is the staple of most forms of trading strategies, and it is almost a stock broker referral fees of Trend Following as well.

The last one is, Fundamental Analysis. Fundamental Analysis is the study of the news. Now, anything can make the Forex markets move, which is one of the major advantages.

You have economic releases, geopolitical situations, elections, or even little points like stocks or commodity news.

They can all move the Forex market. So, being a Fundamental Analyst is key when looking at trading Forex.

Now the ideal trade would incorporate all of these things, but with so many things to look at it is important that you make sure you are not clouding your judgment with too much, and very much sticking to the basics.
