And yet, even as I was choked up, I was thinking to myself that this would be a great fundraising story. However, Harvey emphasises that it is important to make sure the person in whose name the letter is being written understands how fundraising letters work. It is important to get his understanding and support for how the letter will be written. There are key elements in a fundraising letter that pretty much have to be present to make it successful.

Normal people even fundraisers! Sometimes a writer can have too much emotion and needs to be careful not to inject more than the storyteller is comfortable with.
