ZA has a 3 day reset timer. From this point, the best method for farming Mojo that I found was running the eagle gauntlet and resetting it repeatedly. This will take a decent soloing class plate or a pet helps. You will be farming Mojo by concentrating on killing the groups of two trolls. Groups larger than two are possible, but harder, and none are found in the eagle gauntlet anyway.

To start the gauntlet, run down the leftmost steps from the entrance and turn left. You will see an Amani'shi Lookout standing there. He will not aggro, instead, he will run up the hill to start the event. This starts about a 30 second timer until the first eagles and troll warriors spawn. During this time, you want to run up the hill and kill the first two mobs.

Focus fire the one without the shield first, as he casts chain heal occasionally, which can be interrupted. He can also be stunned, though I don't think Repentance works, so probably not other CC also. Keep continuing to kill the groups of two until you get to the steps. Halfway up the steps is a unique troll that is controlling the event.

During the gauntlet, patrols of eagles will come down from the steps behind the troll on the steps at somewhat random intervals between seconds.

The eagles don't have much health and can be aoe killed fairly easily, or just killed when you finish the other mobs. They do not hit hard. Also, there will be two Amani'shi Warriors spawning at the beginning of the gauntlet and running up.

Whenever they get to the top of the first hill, they will aggro no matter where you are in the instance and run to you, pulling any mobs on the way. The eagles can be avoided if you step out of their patrol route and don't aggro them, but the warriors must be killed. They only have about 10k health a piece, though, so they go down fast. However, they have a charge ability so if you're struggling with surviving while fighting the groups of two stick dropping trolls, then wait for the next set of warriors to come and kill them before engaging the next group.

You will almost always get a group of eagles while fighting, though.

The first one should die either right after or before your pet dies unless you're popping cooldowns.

If you can kill them both, great. If you can only kill one, the second one should be already badly injured. When your pet dies and the second one charges, nuke as it runs to you.

When you rez back through the raid portal - THEY ALL DISAPPEAR from your bag. I learned the hard way after solo farming for about an hour.

I had 10 sticks in my bag and went to Solo the Lynx boss and died. I walked back through the portal t reclaim my corpse. Then went to the lake to find frogs. I was a little more than miffed. Comment by Blackmark Killed 3 groups of mobs, looted 4 sticks. First stick I used, Mojo. As soon as you see the avatar on the stairs, he will send down 4 trolls. Kill the magic user first, and fastest hes got that annoying immunity totem then kill all but one troll, then drop combat. The troll will head back to the stairs and one of two things will happen, -he will run around like mad and the 3 other trolls will respawn and run immediately back down the stairs, and they will detect stealth and aggro you if youre not behind a wall, or -he will run back up to the avatar, and the 3 other trolls will respawn and wait til you near the stairs again to charge down.

As a druid, I kept the last troll rooted until shadowmeld was up, and melded to reset combat. I usually kill the axethrowers after the caster and leave the remaining troll as the axethrowers do an axe volley every so often from range.

By resetting like this, you need not wait for respawns and you can often get one or two sticks per reset, just make sure you dont kill the last troll or else you cannot instantly reset them. If youre a hunter its more challenging but possible, you have to reset by dismissing pet and feigning. Youll definitely want to take out the axethrowers as its harder for a hunter to gain health in combat.

Make sure youre around out of LOS of that little yard when you drop combat, so the mobs dont aggro back onto you until youre ready. Best advice is to use Hex sticks as soon as they drop till you get more confident with pulls and know you won't die.

As soon as we realized that smite heals were effective enough to keep us alive we blew through all the trash in Zul Aman. A few tips when farming: Test how many mobs you can pull without risking death. There are mobs that start events or summon more adds. The adds usually don't drop loot and just waste your time so kill SCOUTS asap and skip the Lookout that starts the hawk waves if at all possible the waves keep coming till you reach the statues up top The mobs that drop these are any mob starting with "Amani'shi" so skip the animals as much as possible There is a hut between the cats and the crocolisks that had 5 npcs that respawned in about min we farmed them 4 times before leaving and dropped Hex sticks per clear so check there after you've cleared a section of trash.

After 1 hour the beginning trash starts to respawn. So depending on how fast you kill, or slow the respawn isn't that bad. You cannot use the trick that searches the frogs for the non-humanoid frog anymore haven't been able to for a while so it's really guessing and hoping a humanoid npc doesn't spawn. If you do get mojo, a humanoid will NOT spawn. You'll just get an emote saying "mojo jumps into your pocket" or something to that effect. Happened so fast, checked bags and didn't really read chat heh Some humanoid spawns will give you another Hex stick in the tiny box they leave behind so loot them all.

Brennan gave us 2 extra sticks, although I believe they can be in any of the npc's boxes. When you enter the instance, left side, bottom of the hill just before bridge. As Mojo now has a JP cost price it might be a sign that he might be there for 4. Either that or I had some kind of freakishly insane luck. After i killed all the bosses and went back to the centre to burn the last few of my hex sticks, they ALL gave mojo, though obviously I couldnt carry more than one. So if you wanna save time just kill all the bosses then use the hex stick. You can just run through all of ZA and kill trash plus they are also really easily soloable that is as an enhancement shaman, ilevel ish and this includes all bosses.

I reckon just about any class could solo this if they know how to play. Oh and whilst I am talking about enchanting, the bosses drop a bop enchant and there is also a good chance of you getting a boe enchant from scrolls that you can buy from vendors when you free them from being frogs.

I also got lucky and had the boe Cat's Swiftness drop from trash. All in all, It took me two runs hurray for 3 day reset timer and I usually got around 20 hex sticks like this resulting in two Mojos in a row on my second run and about a total of 1k gold. After we finished the run I took my seven sticks and used them on the frogs and got Mojo not once, but twice! I was a little sad because I had to destroy the second one it's soulbound and doesn't vendorbut considering I got two with seven sticks Blizzard has either upped the drop rate or I got extremely lucky!

Comment by Skunkport I had a bunch of hex sticks lying around from running on various alts, so decided to use them all up on my main who's working towards the 'gold looted' achievement.

Two of the boxes contained another hex stick, so 25 used total. I got ONE bag of gold, a bunch of charms, 1 green item and Tested on numerous occasions. Make sure you've specced into chillblains for movement reduction, also use Unholy Presence, then enter Zul'Aman in Ghostlands.

Now for the tricky part; killing the two guardians after hitting the gong. You have to get rid of the Savages first, so you'll probably end up dying just to get rid of them. Once all the savages are gone, all you simply have to do it to drag the two guardians around the room while spamming Howling Blast.

When you're done with that might take up to 5min just use the 13 Amani Hex Sticks. There are 12 of the people that you need to rescue for the achievement, but you'll need 13 for Mojo.

I brought 14 sticks and got Mojo twice after using him of course since he's unique I just thought I'd share my story of it all and how I got the achievement and pet. The secret is that you only have to click the gong once and your toon will "auto-gong" with the troll dude. Simply time that click so that your toon is auto-gonging in synch with the troll dude. Based on my experience with it, all you have to do is collect around 15 of the sticks on one character. This means soloing the instance for about 3 days or farming it on 3 total toons for one day. Once you have the 15 on one character, go back into the cleared instance and start converting the frogs. I suppose collecting more like 20 is the safe bet as you can always AH them later or give them to a friend.

If the achievement is the way I suspect, a duplicate npc will not spawn until all npcs are out. This means you should get all 12 with just 12 sticks and its critical to spawn them all at once rather than using a day because you'd just be resetting your odds.

It seems that as soon as you have the achievement, meaning you've spawned all 12, the very next frog you use the item on should be the mojo. Theoretically you could do this multiple times on one toon to get multiple mojo, but its not clear if it can only be done once per toon.

You can always do it on alts though too. You can only use 1 item per frog. About 10 per day. The drops weren't very high but at the same time not very low too. It seems the highest drop for this item is just before you get to Nalorakk by fighting 6? Having a Mojo item in your bags will actually cause the creation of the next Mojo item in your bag to fail, wasting an Amani Hex Stick. But once you use the Mojo item to learn the battle pet Mojothe Mojo item is consumed and you can get another one.

So use each Mojo item as soon as you get it. The battle pet Mojo can be caged, and the cages are not unique, so you can carry several; you are not limited to just the three you can hold as battle pets.

Comment by Tirain 1 This is a really easy farm now, in WoD. If you have an instant-use AoE spell, it's likely powerful enough to one-shot all but the biggest of enemies.
